After getting admission in Ignou, students have to submit assignments for each subject for their selected programmes. If any student fails to submit the assignments, he/she won't be able to appear in the term end exams conducted by Ignou university. So it is mandatory to submit the assignments to study centre before the due date in order to appear in the upcoming Term End Exam(TEE). 

Students can download their assignment questions from Ignou website. The instructions are given in each assignment, that is, how to write the assignment and its importance, date of submission etc. So that students can go through that and prepare the assignments easily. The Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) is concerned with assessing students understanding of the course material and their performance. So the student should keep in mind while writing their assignments the instructions given by Ignou.
